  • Unlike its sister hotel the Bonvecchiati is a bit out of the ordinary than you might expect. The hotel is the ideal starting point for some serious sight seeing being so close to all great landmarcs Venice has o offer. From here it is just a short stroll away to San Marco Square, the Basilica, Museo Correr, Ducal Palace and the historical Caffè Florian and Quadri.

  • The hotel offers a spa which is remarkable for Venetian hotels as space is limited on the island. You will find a gym, sauna, Turkish bath and a plunge pool/jacuzzi. Massages and body care treatments are available on request from 3 to 7 p.m. every day, excluding Sundays.

  • The restaurant at the Bonvecchiati Palace offers a modern take on the traditional Venetian cuisine and also serves some classics you do not want to miss. "La Terazza' restaurant is located on a a tranquil corner overlooking Orseolo canal. the chef uses fresh, seasonal products coming from the Rialto market.

What we love

  • Just as the hotel is near the famous landmarks it is also very close to the high end shops. Here you will find all the famous (Italian) designer brands and art galleries next to each other. The front desk can give you the right advice that meets you shopping demands.

  • Life in Venice takes place on the water, this means the 'traffic can be bad'. If you are looking for a bit more privacy, book yourself a Gondola or water taxi at the front desk to experience the true Venice form other point of view.

  • Near Rialto bridge you will find some nice authentic markets for fruit, vegetables and fresh fish. Even though you won't be buying your groceries it is still worth it to have a look.

About San Marco

With the San Marco square as the main attraction the area can be a bit overcrowded from time to time. At night the day-trippers leave the island and San Marco evolves on a mystical fairytale with cozy bars and delicious restaurants.
